INDIGENOUS RELATIONS
Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd. supports and encourages opportunities to develop and implement Indigenous programs in regards to workforce, business and community development. Techmation will seek out new opportunities with Indigenous communities in all areas where we work. This includes the use of Indigenous suppliers and vendors and the potential recruitment of Indigenous individuals for employment.
Since our inception in 1995, Techmation has been an equal opportunity employer. Techmation has hired many Indigenous individuals and tradespeople to work within our organization and continues to develop individual skill sets for qualification to work in the electrical and instrumentation trades. Additionally, Techmation participates in programs through technical institutions and government sponsored programs that provide assistance to Indigenous individuals interested in working in the fields of electrical and instrumentation.
Techmation utilizes local Indigenous vendors where possible in our day-to-day operations. Techmation is pleased to be able work with these vendors and we are a proud member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.
Techmation is actively involved with providing training and supports the North East Alberta Apprenticeship Initiative in conjunction with Alberta Apprenticeship.
